Summer PeaceIn order to foster and promote international cooperation, the protection of human rights and relations of peace, friendship and equality among peoples, IsCaPI has carried out a series of important initiatives also initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding entered into with the Permanent Secretariat of Nobel Peace Laureates Summits and the Region of Calabria..

In July 2008, ISCaPI oversaw and managed on behalf of the Region of Calabria – Department of the Presidency Delegation in Rome – the visit to Calabria of Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Walesa by organizing a meeting of Peace Education. Cooperation and dialogue for global development“.This occasion allowed the conclusion of a cooperation agreement with the
Lech Walesa Institute – Foundation (ILW).

IsCaPI then designed a Master’s degree in “
Cooperation, Peace and Protection of Human Rights.
” with the intention of training cooperation experts capable of acting in the field through effective development actions and to foster intercultural dialogue among peoples.

In addition, during the 9th Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates held in Paris to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ISCaPI signed a collaboration agreement with the Ingrid Betancourt Foundation.

This resulted in the realization of the 1st and 2nd Editions of the Summer Peace University (University of Peace), which came to fruition with the arrival in Calabria of a group of students, children of political refugees, from different countries around the world, and the visit of Ingrid Betancourt to Calabria in May 2010.

The main activities that are carried out during the Summer Peace University are :

A three-month course in Italian language and culture;

A series of thematic seminars related to Peace;

The holding of guided tours to learn about Calabrian customs and traditions;

The writing of a final paper by the students involved in the initiative.

This is an innovative experience that serves as an opportunity for cross-cultural encounters and exchanges to reflect in a synergistic and participatory way on aspects that characterize the global geo-political chessboard.

In the month of July 2008, the IsCaPI has cared for and managed on behalf of the Region of Calabria – Department Presidency delegation of Rome – visit in Calabria of the Nobel Peace Prize Lech Walesa organizing a meeting of “Education for Peace. Cooperation and dialogue for a global development” .

This occasion has led to the stipulation of a collaborative agreement with Lech Walesa Institute – Foundation (ILW).

The IsCaPI has then devised a Master’s degree in “Cooperation, Peace and Protection of Human Rights” with the intention of forming experts of cooperation which can operate in the field through effective actions for development and promote intercultural dialog between peoples.

In addition, during the IX Summit of Nobel Peace, held in Paris to celebrate the 60TH Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ISCaPI has signed a collaboration agreement with the Foundation Ingrid Betancourt.

As a result of this, the embodiment of the I and II Edition of the “Summer Peace University” (University of Peace), which is embodied with the arrival in Calabria for a group of students, the children of political refugees, from different countries in the world, and with the visit of Ingrid Betancourt in Calabria in the month of May 2010.

The main activities that are carried out during the Summer Peace University are :

the drafting of the final document by students involved in the initiative.

It is an innovative experience that arises as an occasion for meeting and intercultural exchange to reflect in a synergistic and participatory on aspects that characterize the exchequer geo-political world.


Summer-PeaceA fin de favorecer y promover la cooperación internacional, la protección de los derechos humanos y las relaciones de paz, amistad y la igualdad entre los pueblos, el IsCaPI ha realizado una serie de importantes iniciativas emprendidas también mediante un protocolo de acuerdo celebrado con el Permanent Secretariat of Nobel Peace Laureates Summits y la Región de Calabria.

En el mes de julio de 2008, el IsCaPI ha atendido y gestionado por cuenta de la Región de Calabria – Departamento Presidencia delegación de Roma -la visita en Calabria del Premio Nobel de la paz Lech Walesa organizando un encuentro de “Educación para la paz. Cooperación y diálogo para un desarrollo global” .

Esta ocasión ha permitido la celebración de un acuerdo de colaboración con el Lech Walesa Institute – Foundation (ILW).

El IsCaPI ha ideado un Máster en “Cooperación, paz y protección de los Derechos Humanos” con la intención de formar expertos de cooperación en condiciones de actuar en el terreno mediante acciones reales de desarrollo y para favorecer el diálogo intercultural entre pueblos.

Además, durante la IX Cumbre de premios Nobel de la paz, celebrada en París para celebrar el 60 aniversario de Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos, l’iscapi ha rubricado un Acuerdo de colaboración con la Fundación Ingrid Betancourt.

El resultado fue la realización de la I y II edición de la “Summer Peace University” (Universidad de la Paz), que se ha concretado con la llegada en Calabria de un grupo de estudiantes, hijos de refugiados políticos, procedentes de distintos países del mundo, y con la visita de Ingrid Betancourt en Calabria en el mes de mayo de 2010.

Las principales actividades que son llevadas a cabo durante el verano Peace University son:

un curso trimestral de lengua y cultura italiana;

un ciclo de seminarios temáticos vinculados a la paz;

visitas guiadas para conocer usos y costumbres sin;

la elaboración de un documento final por parte de los estudiantes implicados iniciativa.

Se trata de una experiencia innovadora que se plantea como la ocasión de encuentro y intercambio intercultural para reflexionar en forma colateral y participativo sobre aspectos que caracterizan el escenario geo-político mundial.
