The MedPol Platform deals with the fields of art, music, fashion and design through the promotion and organization of exhibitions, fairs, twinning, and the exchange of representatives from these fields.
It also addresses the enhancement of cultural specificities and the potential of cultural assets and cultural production through the creation of local-level cultural networks and systems that can generate significant impacts in terms of employment and sustainable development.
The MedPol Platform also aims at:
Integrated management and enhancement of cultural heritage in the context of local and regional sustainable development policies and programs.
Knowledge, dissemination, popularization and accessibility of both the peculiar and specific components of the Euro-Mediterranean region’s cultural heritage and common and shared cultural themes and systems.
Cultural production aimed at both the enhancement of specificities and the creation of a new Mediterranean culture.
Development and promotion of cultural tourism.
Training and labor market improvement in heritage and cultural production as well as cultural services.
Identification and definition of innovative strategies in the field of management and enhancement of tangible and intangible cultural heritage (archaeological sites, historic buildings and architecture, landscape, visual arts, performing arts, folk traditions, artistic crafts, wine and food).
Identification, definition and creation of local national and transnational territorial cultural systems.
Development of complex multimedia systems to enhance the accessibility and networking of information related to tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
Design and implementation of publishing products, both traditional and electronic and multimedia, for the dissemination and popularization of cultural heritage.
