The aims of the “Calabria School” Project are:
- Promote the artistic, historical, cultural, landscape and food and wine heritage of the Calabria Region internationally and, specifically, to Calabrian communities around the world;
- delve into the systemic aspects of the region in the areas of national and European legal, educational-training, economic production and legality as well as those of educational offerings and scientific and technological research;
- Teaching Italian language and Euro-Mediterranean culture;
- make a documentary film of the initiative that will be broadcast on partner TV stations in Calabria and, where possible, in each country of origin of the participants in order to promote the Calabrian territory in a tourist way;
- Produce, produce and disseminate a book on the initiative;
- realize, produce and disseminate a photo exhibition and painting exhibition on the initiative;
- To create an international network of youth associations aimed at promoting in the world the image of the Region of Calabria of its role and related opportunities and inserted in a national, European and Mediterranean context in tourism, culture, production, trade and scientific and technological research;
- Promote an annual event aimed at all young Calabrians around the world that, starting in 2020, within the “Calabria School,” will be an opportunity for discussion, dialogue, fun and networking for participants and consolidation for the
These are the general purposes of the network:
- to encourage, promote and carry out actions aimed at the development of the regional territory of Calabria in an international spirit oriented toward the establishment of a just and peaceful arrangement of the international community in order to contribute to increasing the possibility of an evolution of all regions of the world toward supranational forms of organization, democratic freedoms, economic progress and widespread social justice;
- activating Italian language and culture courses for residents abroad and foreign for young Calabrian residents in Italy;
- Promote study, research and cultural activities in the fields of economic, legal, social and human sciences, as well as industrial, agricultural and trade policies in the EU and international arena;
- To support the preparation, and further education, of the various interested groups, and in particular young people, on economic and political problems of a community and international nature, including through training and specialization courses;
- Promote cultural exchanges to support cooperative activities.
