Belvedere Maritime Diffused Hotel Project

The project proposed here Intends to create an integrated local public/private tourism system, aimed at the realization of a slow tourism cluster based on a concept of Albergo diffuso. The proposal is aimed at the design, and implementation of a process of identification regeneration and recovery of the material and immaterial heritage of the territory aimed at the promotion of itineraries, and experiences, based on a system of reception that allows access to and enjoyment of the historical cultural capital and the recovery and enhancement of traditions, food and wine, natural social and religious local environment. The objective will be to revive the places of the Borgo of Belvedere Marittimo, involving them through an inclusive process of citizens and stakeholders in participatory eco-social activities. The aim is to create in the medium term a Tourism Cluster that uses towards the tourist a functional approach with a high relational and emotional content to make them enjoy the historical, cultural, environmental and food and wine heritage and discover the tradition of the area, thus paving the way for a new “experiential” and “sense” tourism, addressed to a new vision of the territorial context, linking it to the discovery of new systems of slow tourism.

In order to more fully implement the project actions, agreements of understanding and partnerships have been entered into with subjects from the world of associations in the area, and agreements have been implemented and will be implemented with private subjects, who will be the proactive elements in the implementation of cultural tourism attractors in order to integrate and enrich the territorial tourism offer and strengthen the deseasonalization of the tourist flow that is usually present in the area.

The Project is developed on three Process Axes:

  • urban/rural re-generation;
  • SLoT planning;
  • realization of local territorial tourism systems

The programmatic key is the reuse of cultural heritages in which local forces explore direct participation in the processes of sustainable development of cultural heritages .
